Alfa Laval opens a new Service Centre in Hat Yai, Thailand

Alfa Laval celebrates the opening of its Service Centre Hat Yai, Thailand. The centre specializes in full repair of high speed separators, overhaul of rotating assembly of decanters, and reconditioning of medium-size plate heat exchangers, serving customers from a wide range of industries, such as latex, palm oil, food processing, etc., situated in Southern part of Thailand.

Irene Lau, Service Division Manager, Alfa Laval Thailand says: “At Alfa Laval, we have a strong commitment towards customer service. This new centre comes in reasonable space with complementing tools and facility to support our existing network of field-service specialists and the flagship service centre near Bangkok, Thailand. It will allow us to provide better and faster services to our clients in the South; and help improve the overall customers’ equipment lifecycle management.” Our current service presence in Thailand is located near Bangkok to cater to the service needs of our customers in the area.

At Alfa Laval, customer service starts right after the deal is signed and it continues through the entire lifecycle of the equipment with the focus of establishing long- term performance partnerships with our clients. At the service centres, our objective is to provide overhaul services that restores Alfa Laval equipment to its highest optimum performance complementing the intermediate preventive maintenance services at-site, bestowing our clients the maximum opportunity to capitalize on their business potential with improved equipment uptime and availability.

Southern Thailand is a key market for Alfa Laval – and being at Hat Yai adds a few more advantages as hundreds of customers are within the vicinity. “Being close to our customers is an important part of our strategy. Availability of spare parts and instant help of professional service is crucial for keeping our customers’ processes running at optimum conditions, and to ensure maximum uptime,” says Koray Chong, Managing Director of Alfa Laval Thailand.

Koray Chong added, “Hat Yai will be a strategic location for Alfa Laval Thailand, as many of our customers in latex and crude palm oil are within reach.”

The centre is 400 sqm and specialized in reconditioning of high speed separators, rotating assembly of decanters, and medium-size plate heat exchangers (PHE) with advanced technology and environment friendly processes. To start with, the centre handles up to 50 units of High Speed Separators, 10 units of Rotating Assembly of Decanter, and 2,000 PHE plates, per year.

Khun Dr. Tavorn Roungwarunwattana, the Honorary President of Thai Latex Association, is invited to officially open the Service Centre of Alfa Laval in Hat Yai, Thailand. “Alfa Laval is a company who cares about customers’ processes, working like a partner of us to assist us minimize down time. I’m happy to announce the opening of this new service centre in Hat Yai.”
