2nd Smart Cities India 2016 to showcase smarter solutions for a better city

International interest in India’s smart cities mission, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is rising – as evidenced by the offer of German assistance by Chancellor Angela Merkel during her visit to India recently.

The Indian government is steadfast in its commitment towards smart cities, and has introduced programs such as Make in India, Digital India, the Smart Cities Mission, and Housing for All. These initiatives have been met with great appreciation from across the world, and have boosted the confidence of the investor community in the smart cities domain.

Supporting the smart cities mission, Exhibitions India is organising the 2nd edition of the Smart Cities India 2016 expo. The expo is a three-day long exhibition and conference to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 11-13 May 2016.

The Smart Cities India expo will bring government representatives, industry leaders, media, and leading global companies on a common platform to strategize and deliberate on products and services to modernise existing Indian cities.

The 2nd edition of the expo will witness, for the first time, the Smart Cities Awards, Mayor’s Conclave and Smart Transport India. Additionally, the 2nd Smart Villages session will continue to build on the idea that India’s villages need to be brought into the mainstream of the country’s burgeoning economic prosperity. These sessions are designed to inspire and impart constructive solutions for the smart cities revolution in India.

  • Smart villages will be addressed by pradhan’s, sarpanchs, innovators and influencers working towards the upliftment of villages in India.

Prem Behl, Chairman, Exhibition India Group said, “The Smart Cities India series of expos, endeavour to bring all stakeholders together on a single platform to find solutions, and to form alliances to build smart, sustainable cities in India.”
