IFC funds solar, wind projects in India

Two renewable energy projects in India will be bankrolled through fresh debts from the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The private sector investment arm of the World Bank will be lending to Chennai-based SEI Solar Power Pvt Ltd to finance in part the company’s greenfield solar PV power plant project in Jodhpur. Another $40 million will go to PTC India Financial Services to provide lending  services to wind power projects in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
