Half million GM electric-type vehicles by 2017

General Motors is not venturing any guesses about which models will be best-sellers, but it has estimated that it will sell half a million ‘electrified’ vehicles by 2017. The company said its plug-in vehicles would be its key focus. GM produces the fully-electric Chevy Volt, as well as versions of hybrid cars.  It expects to sell about 25,000 Volts in 2012.
