Brunei to train students in renewable energy

The training of local Bruneians in various renewable energy fields is vital for the development of the country. Permanent Secretary at the Energy Division of the Prime Minister’s Office Awg Hj Azhar Hj Yahya, speaking at the 10th Sustainable Energy and Environment Forum, said that the renewables training of several of their local students abroad is a laudable move. He said he hopes that the University of Brunei Darussalam will take up the challenge and provide training opportunities for Brunei students. He added, now is the time to ensure that the country balances between economic growth and energy sustainability.
