The Wind Engineer will report to Project Development Director and work on a variety of projects across Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

  • Site visits to assess structural integrity of measurement masts and assess the general site area in relation to energy yield assessment;
  • Measurement campaigns:
  1. Planning measurement requirements, ordering from and liaison with subcontractors;
  2. Remote data monitoring and onsite maintenance of wind measurement equipment;
  • Analysis of recorded data (wind) and sites to determine:
  1. Wind resource;
  2. Energy yield;
  3. Site conditions;
  4. Shadow flicker;
  5. Noise;
  • Reporting of results and conclusions to a very high technical level;
  • Liaison with project managers regarding the site, and the expected yields:
  • Assistance to other Group businesses as required;
  • General engineering support to the Group’s development businesses;


  • University degree in science, physics, engineering and/or mathematical disciplines
  • Basic knowledge of wind turbine engineering and wind energy conversion
  • Basic knowledge of wind farm design and development
  • Basic knowledge of wind measurement instrumentation
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel required
  • Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) theory/software
  • Good knowledge of a programming language
  • A proactive team worker with good communication & interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude, able to maintain high levels of drive and energy
  • Fluent English speaker


  • Knowledge of industry-standard wind analysis software (WAsP, WindPro, WindFarmer, Meteodyn)
  • Knowledge of additional languages would be advantageous
