We are seeking an EPC Senior Manager for one of the world’s fastest growing solar companies. You will manage project teams and have responsibility for the engineering, cost, schedule and quality of projects. Key responsibilities include RFP management and EPC selection, EPC contract negotiation, engineering review (also for the Investment Committee), EPC construction management, reporting and forecasting. This is a one year contract (extendable) based in Melbourne.

Duties

  • Manage project teams to execute projects per commitments and forecasts
  • Supervise and guide the project managers in their EPC execution activities
  • Selection of EPC contractors and contract negotiation for upcoming projects
  • Ensure engineering designs meet local and company standards
  • Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget and to the standards and quality level required
  • Ensure weekly and monthly progress reports are accurate and released in a timely manner
  • Prepare forecasts for construction projects across the region
  • Manage EPC performance and lead any dispute processes as necessary
  • Oversee OHS implementation and procedures in projects

Requirements

  • PR visa or Australian Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline - preference given to post graduate degree in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in PV and / or Power Generation industries
  • Experience in an EPC
  • Advantageous to have a track record of working in PV solar farm deployment
  • Advantageous to have experience in OHS aspects
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to be decisive in crisis situations
  • Demonstrated independent thinking, initiative and creativity
  • Wide knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., electrical code, building codes, international design standards)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% or more of the time.
