Hong Kong Green Building Council appoints new board of directors

The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) has appointed a new board of directors.

Former Buildings Department director Cheung Hau-wai has been re-elected to lead the body as chairman for the year 2022.

Cheung will chair a new-look board that includes:

HKGBC is a non-profit set up in 2009 to promote standards for sustainable buildings in Hong Kong, which is one of the world’s most densely populated and highly urbanised cities. HKGBC is currently running a competition to find ideas for net-zero buildings, to support the territory’s aim of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
