The Global CSR Summit & The Global CSR Awards is in its 4th year and it is the world’s most prestigious and recognised event for corporate social responsibility.
At the 2011 event, keynote speaker Professor Braungart elaborated on the idea of thinking beyond the outdated concept of sustainability which essentially adopts a “damage control paradigm” to that of embracing innovative and cutting edge solutions that contribute beneficially to profits, societies and the environment.
In 2012, we want to embrace this innovative concept and explore ways in which we can adopt this paradigm confidently for businesses, societies and the environment at full steam. As Asia begin to lead the world as the main economic engine, issues that have become important include corporate ethics among executives, innovative and sustainable growth, integration and fair distribution of wealth among societies and accelerating the rate of innovation in environmental protection amidst more frequent occurance of environmental disasters.
The 2 day event will consist of presentations from industry leaders, an awards luncheon ceremony, a practical workshop and a site tour around Boracay.
The Global CSR Awards 2012 is Asia’s Most Prestigious Recognition Awards programme for Corporate Social Responsibility. The programme recognizes and honors companies for outstanding, innovative and world-class products, services, projects and programmes implemented in 2011/2012. These projects should demonstrate the company’s leadership, sincerity and on-going commitment in incorporating ethical values, compliance with legal requirements, and respect for individuals, communities and the environment in the way they do business.
