Sustainability has become part of our lives, it is everywhere, and we hear about it almost every day. Yet, adopting sustainable technologies for manufacturing seems a laggard, due very much to the tenacious, decades-long focus on cost, time, quality and flexibility, which is worsened by recent globalisation of manufacturing. Sustainable manufacturing is a recent industrial phenomenon, albeit an old topic in research. The hidden values of sustainable manufacturing are yet to be exploited, while much lip service has been showering on it. Fundamentally, we need to understand how the sustainable technologies create values for manufacturers.
SIMTech’s Sustainable Manufacturing Centre has lined up leading industry champions to share their insights into this value creation process with proven strategies and success stories.
