Renowned speaker, Professor Christoph Herrmann, Director of the Institute of Machine Tools and Production (Germany) will give a comprehensive review on how life-cycle engineering has recently become an indispensable tool for sustainability issues in manufacturing. His review will cover the various types of manufacturing resources, from materials, manpower, water, energy to wastes, in a holistic resource management framework.

The Disruptive Technology for Sustainability - Material Informatics
Leveraging on the multitudes of increasing cheaper sensors, computing powers, cloud resources, user-friendly apps, big data, material informatics, knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes to optimize resources, increase productivity, increase process efficiency and safeguard environmental impact, and towards zero waste.
