Singapore Sustainable Solutions Network (SSN) Conference

The Singapore Sustainable Solutions Network (SSN) is a formal network that promotes collaboration between local environmental stakeholders to develop joint environmental solutions. It consists of annual flagship conferences and an online networking platform. Our inaugural conference will take place on Saturday, 20 August 2016, and is themed “Synergisms from the Ground-Up: Building Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration for a more Sustainable Singapore”. The online platform, called the Sustainable Solutions Portal, will be launched at the inaugural conference. It will be a one-stop portal that connects a comprehensive network of environmental stakeholders in Singapore, and provides updates on the local environmental scene.

The program for our inaugural conference on 20 August includes an address by Guest-of-Honour Dr. Amy Khor (Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources), a panel discussion featuring Dr. Khor and representatives from Nature Society (Singapore), Global Compact Network Singapore, and ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre, and interactive solutions brainstorming and ‘speed dating’ networking sessions.

The SSN is organised by I’dECO: the Yale-NUS College Sustainability Movement, in partnership with local environmental groups like Green Drinks, #LepakinSG, Earthfest, ECO Singapore, PM Haze and more. It is endorsed and supported by Yale-NUS College and the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU).

You may visit the SSN website for more information on the network, and register for our conference here or on our website. The deadline for registration is 12 August (Friday).
