Mindanao Business Conference on Private Public Partnership

The United States Agency for International Development (USAid)-funded Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) program said Friday that the 20th MinBizCon will give special emphasis on the partnership and synergy between the business community and government in achieving development goals in Mindanao.

The MinBizCon will also provide the venue for trade and exhibits showcasing the product champions in the region with the hope of generating local and foreign interest in Mindanao.

Among the participants of this year’s activity are members and representatives from local chambers of commerce, trade and industry associations, national and local government officials and the academe.

Embassies, heads of Mission and other trading partners, are also invited with the intent of sharing best economic development practices during the event.

The MinBizCon, which is now in its 20th year, is the official area business conference in Mindanao and is the largest annual gathering of business and industry leaders, government policy makers and stake holders in the region.

The MinBizCon is also the preferred platform to present the Mindanao Business Policy Agenda, a document covering policy issues on economic development requiring government action and private sector commitments particularly on the field of renewable energy, rural infrastructure and agriculture development

Greenergy Solutions Inc., will present success stories on the creation of  Private Public Partnerships in the field of  Renewable Energy like Waste-to-Energy projects involving local government units (LGUs).
