Lean & Green Workshop - Australia

Lean thinking is a business paradigm for continuous improvement and the relentless elimination of all types of waste. Sustainable development and ‘green thinking’ are widely recognised as the new wave of innovation which is leading companies towards more innovative use of resources and waste free operations. It follows, therefore, that there needs to be a much more coordinated approach in managing ‘lean and green’ within companies.

This workshop is an opportunity to learn from leading organisations that have realised synergies between lean and green and understand how to exploit lean concepts and tools to boost innovation for a greener and more profitable future for your business. There will be several case studies demonstrating how greener operations also boost competitiveness and make perfect business sense.

This event will explore the synergy between the 8 lean wastes and 8 green wastes and how lean and green initiatives can be integrated, for example, through the use of lean tools to diagnose waste. To consolidate the key concepts of Lean and Green thinking an innovative class room simulation will be conducted.

The event looks at how a full lean management approach can break down obstacles to Lean and Green improvement and bring about the ‘attitude change’ that is required to sustain ‘behavioural change’ in the long term.
