Jordan International Energy Summit (JIES) is a prestigious, government led conference for the international Energy community to examine the abundant opportunities throughout Jordan.

The Jordan International Energy Summit (JIES) takes place on 19 – 20 May 2015. JIES will provide a platform for the government and State Companies to engage with international and local investors, ensuring all participants have key opportunities to share knowledge, explore current challenges and examine the most prominent investment opportunities throughout Jordan.

Objectives

  • Provide a highly strategic, informative and dynamic annual conference that is supported by government, operators, services companies and all the key players for Jordan and the wider region

  • Showcase reserve potential and projects and to highlight the important role that Jordan will play in the regional Energy industry

  • Serve as a platform for Ministries, State Companies, super-majors and the independents to promote their opportunities in the Energy sector

  • Engage all stakeholders in both the public and private sector throughout the region

  • Promote Jordan as an investment destination and to position Jordan as the commercial hub for the industry in the region

  • Attract international and regional investors and to promote partnerships with local companies

  • Highlight the importance of local content in projects undertaken in Jordan and the wider region

  • Promote collaboration between Ministries, State Companies, super-majors, independents, local partners and the international community

  • Encourage international knowledge transfer on all issues

  • Discuss issues in common across the region and identify real solutions to real problems

  • Draw on experiences and lessons learnt from throughout the world

  • Help to promote the existence of energy resources as a real benefit to the people of Jordan
