ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Transition Training

COURSE OVERVIEW

ISO 14001 specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organisation to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal requirements and other requirement to which the organisation subscribes and information about significant environmental aspects. The new ISO 14001:2015 is particularly helpful in meeting legal requirements and improving environmental performance. It will include a requirement to understand the organisation’s context in order to better manage environmental risks, with more emphasis made on leaders within organisations to promote environmental management. The background on the EMS revision and the changes will be highlighted and explained.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

This 1-day workshop will cover the scopes of revision, the pillars of sustainability development, the high level structure and the emerging changes. This workshop will be able to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding to embrace the changes in their organisation’s EMS. The transition training will also help existing EMS Internal Auditors to qualify for ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor.

This training has been designed for Management Representative, EMS or EHS Manager, ISO 14001 EMS Steering Committee Members, Lead EMS auditors, Internal EMS auditors, Personnel responsible for legal requirements updating, environmental management monitoring and ISO 14001 conformance.
