On Nov. 19-20, 2013, CAPEC Low Carbon Economy Committee, in collaboration with other international and domestic climate change and industrial organizations, will organize an International Forum & Expo on Low Carbon Industry and Green Economy. The Forum will be organized at the opportune moment that international community attaches more and more attention to climate and environment issues, and China is dedicated to eco-civilization construction, low-carbon, circular and green development, and promotion of new-type industrialization and sustainable urbanization. Optimizing China’s industrial structure through curbing and closing high energy consumption and high emission industries, eliminating backward production capacity, and enhancing industrial energy efficiency has become the new economic engine for China.
Plant engineering consulting, as an intelligence-based industry, plays an important role in promoting sustainable, quality and efficient development and creating an upgraded version of Chinese economy. The Forum aims to build up a communication channel between engineers, government officials, research institutions, academia, clients, investors and contractors, to exchange experience on low carbon development, to identify new challenges and issues emerging in the business development, to explore ways to cope with climate and environmental issues, and to highlight obstacles and make proposals for achieving quality and low-carbon development through technical and service innovation. It will provide an arena for both domestic and overseas enterprises to seek for business opportunities, exchanges and cooperation.
Government leaders, CEOs from top 500 international firms, high-rank officials from UN, officials from government departments, economic experts from both domestic and overseas institutions, financial institutions, investment agencies and NGOs will be invited to participate in the Forum. Altogether there will be around 300 participants. This Forum will be a rare opportunity for understanding the latest status, resources and policies in relation to low carbon industrialization, urbanization and green economy, and exploring new solutions of furthering international collaboration.
