Green Drinks: Electric Vehicles and What’s Next?

This month, we’re talking Electric Vehicles! David Chou of EV HUB will speak about what they are doing to help build the EV platform in Singapore, while Davide Bonomi of Dufresne talks about the future of batteries in EVs.

Davide addresses the following: “If we want to examine the cost and safety of Electric Cars then we must understand the Battery that powers it. What type of batteries are under the hood of electric cars now and in the future? What are the battery companies behind them? To what extent can we expect them to be cheaper in the next 3 years?”

About the Speakers

David Chou

David is the Managing Director of Singapore based clean tech R&D company and electric vehicle integrator, the EV HUB. Started in 2009, the company set up the region’s first certified electric vehicle conversion facility which has converted everyday combustion vehicles into fully electric plug in cars and get Singapore Land Transport Authority approval for them to be driven on public roads. Among its conversion lineups are a BMW 5 series sedan, a Porsche 911 convertible, and a Renault utility van. In 2011, the company launched FSG Mobility Concepts, the first electric mobility concept showroom in the region where customers can learn about, test drive, and take home some of the world’s (F)ASTEST, (S)EXIEST, and (G)REEN electric vehicles such as the Tesla Roadster supercar and the YikeBike, the world’s lightest foldable electric bike.

Prior to setting up the EV HUB, David spent over 17 years in the investment banking industry having held senior trading, structuring and marketing roles for bulge bracket wall street firms in New York, Tokyo and Singapore. David holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and graduated from Waseda University International Division Program in Tokyo, Japan.

Davide Bonomi

As the Content Strategy Manager, Davide is one of the Dufresne founders responsible for conceptualising topics and bringing together strategic speakers for all the energy storage conferences. His passion and interest in the green industry ensures that every speaker brings useful content that can be used to solve industry challenges.
