Green Buildings & Parks World 2015

GREEN BUILDING - BUILDING GREEN: THE KEYSTONE FOR SUSTAINABILITY

The green building movement originated from the need and desire for more energy efficient and environmentally friendly construction practices. Green building brings together a vast array of practices, techniques, and skills to reduce and ultimately eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. Green buildings emphasize taking advantage of renewable resources, use of plants and trees through green roofs and vertical greens, and reduction of rainwater run-off. Many other techniques are used, such as using low-impact building materials or using packed gravel or permeable concrete to enhance replenishment of ground water.

While the practices or technologies employed in green building are constantly evolving and differ from region to region, fundamental principles persist on structure design efficiency, energy efficiency, water efficiency, materials efficiency, indoor environmental quality enhancement, operations and maintenance optimization and waste and toxics reduction.

The second edition of Green Buildings & Parks World 2015 is back to play host to international green building experts, policy-makers, built environment practitioners, designers, tenants and end-users, a platform for congregation of ideas, collaboration, partnership and learning, to achieve a shared vision of a greener and liveable planet. The areas of discussion including:

  • Latest Green Policies and Standards
  • Enhancing Building Performance Through Energy Efficiency Technologies
  • High Performance Water Efficiency Building
  • Innovative Green Building Materials
  • Cutting-Edge Green Building Design Solutions
  • Green Roof & Vertical Green
