Energy Reduction, Reuse and Renewable Energy in Existing Built Environments

EmiratesGBC & MEFMA joint Networking Event to be held in Dubai on the morning of Tuesday, 24 September 8:30-10:30 am at Sheraton Hotel, Mall of Emirates, Dubai.

Interactive Panel Session and Discussionon “Energy Reduction, Reuse and Renewable Energy in Existing Built Environments

Renovating and retrofitting existing buildings is generally more cost effective and efficient than replacing the structure completely.  According to research, a significant amount of a building’s energy use, especially in the Middle East, is from cooling and hot water.  By introducing initiatives for energy & water conservation retrofits, a building’s overall energy consumption will be reduced and it will function more efficiently. Retrofitting has particular advantages when renovating a building to help serve its future potential, wherein sustainability, serviceability, durability, adaptability and resilience is designed into the retrofit, imparting value to its owners and occupiers while protecting the environment and creating a conducive built environment.

Join us in this interesting dialogue which will take place through a panel session moderated by a representative from Construction Week. Guest panellists will represent the building supply chain, which will include Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, EMS, ETAP, Middle East Facilities Management Association, and Jones Lang LaSalle.

We look forward to seeing you at the Networking Event on September 24!
