Energy Management System (ISO 50001:2011) Implementation Course

Energy management is very crucial issue for the success and survival of every business. ISO 50001:2011 is the latest standard designed to help organizations to achieve effective energy management. The course creates complete awareness about the requirements of systems, processes and documentation in line with ISO 50001 requirements to improve energy performance. Delegates will be able to relate ISO 50001 to organization’s energy costs and GHG (Green house gases) emissions. This 3 days course introduces you to requirements of ISO 50001 standards, to help understand and appreciate the advantage of implementing an EnMS. The course further prepares you to establish systems, processes & prepare documentation in line with ISO 50001 requirements. Experienced SGS tutor will take through various workshop, discussion, lectures, quiz etc., to ensure effective learning during the course.

Objectives Upon completion of this course, delegates will be able to:

      1. Describe an Energy Management System
      2. Explain energy efficiency and energy performance
      3. Understand the requirement of ISO 50001:2011
      4. Identify and prepare documents in line with ISO 50001:2011
      5. Prepare a plan for implementing a EnMS
      6. Conduct energy review; establish baseline and EnPI
      7. Develop and establish processes, policies, objectives and measurement requirements
      8. Prepare the organization for certification
