China & Asia Wire and Cable Forum 2013

China has now surpassed the United States to become the world’s largest wire and cable manufacturer. In 2011, the wire and cable industry’s output was worth more than 1.1 trillion yuan ($176 billion), according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The industry boomed in the past few decades on rising demand as the country expanded its power grid, developed the information and telecom sector, upgraded power equipment, and needed energy saving equipment.

In the current challenging business environment it is more important than ever for cable producers and their customers and suppliers to be aware of the latest material developments and how these will help improve cable performance and profitability. Quality authorities urged Chinese wire and cable companies to step up efforts to promote advanced technologies to improve quality, safe and sustainable development of wire & cable industry, instead of only expanding their production capacity.

The whole busy two day program will look in detail at key developments in cable machinery, additives, flame retardant technology, low smoke and fume zero halogen (LSF0H) cable insulation compounds, crosslinking technology and the potential for improved cable performance. This upcoming summit will aim to put these materials, regulatory and technology developments in the context of the challenging business environment in which cable producers and their customers operate. Whatever your involvement in the cables industry, be it as a cable manufacturer or raw material supplier or equipment manufacturer, this event will provide an ideal opportunity and networking platform to meet with likeminded professionals and find out about the latest material, technology and business trends in China and what influence they might exert on your business development.
