Join CaliforniaCarbon.info’s expert guests as they discuss California’s Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS), which is one of the most ambitious renewable energy standards in the country, in light of the existing carbon market in California. The RPS program requires investor-owned utilities, electric service providers, and community choice aggregators to increase procurement from eligible renewable energy resources to 33% of total procurement by 2020. California’s Cap-and-Trade Program took effect in early 2012 and the enforceable compliance obligation began on January 1, 2013.
