The 17th annual Asian Utility Week 2016 will be held at the Centara Ground, Bangkok Convention Centre on 31 May to 1 June 2016. It attracts 2500-3000 utility technology specialists from across Asia and the world. It features 200 speakers and 150 expo stands across a range of topics that cover smart metering/grids, customer experience/engagement, enterprise analytics, and how to integrate distributed generation assets. The key themes of this event are unique for Asian utility expos - digital transformation with a customer focus. The event mirrors the development of technology and management strategies in the advanced Western markets which have experienced a deregulated marketplace influenced by disruptive exponential technologies. Asian utilities come to learn about the future of utility technology and showcase their own unique solutions.

Selecting the right strategy, adopting technology innovations and practicing effective vendor management are all essential requirements for utilities to achieve success in customer engagement, energy efficiency and operational excellence. Large scale infrastructure projects are a challenge for any organisation. Expertise in this area should be celebrated and the success roadmaps replicated. We have been encouraged by you to set up an Asian Utility Innovators Awards to celebrate success across the utility sectors featured in our event. The nominees will be voted by you and the winners will be selected by our Innovation Judges.
