Sophie Lewis

Research fellow

Sophie Lewis is currently an ARC DECRA Fellow in the Fenner School of Environment and Society at The Australian National University in Canberra as part of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science. From 2011-2014, she was Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne and from 2014-2016 at the ANU. She was awarded her PhD in 2011 from The Australian National University.

Her research investigates the links between recent extreme climate events and climate change. These types of research areas are useful for understanding the vulnerability of human and natural systems to potential future changes in climate and weather extremes.
