Hong Kong-based sustainable finance consultancy Climate Finance Asia has appointed Alan To as its chief executive officer.
In his role, To will lead the firm’s strategic growth, promote sustainability best practices, and raise climate competence in business, government, and community organisations.
Previously known as Carbon Care Asia, Climate Finance Asia was established in 2008 to deliver sustainable finance consultancy services for the region from its offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.

Alan has led global and regional sustainability as well as ESG strategic marketing functions in various global companies. This includes financial intelligence provider S&P Global – where he was previously regional ESG marketing director, Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa – sustainability consultancy ERM, professional assurance services organisation Lloyd’s Register, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Bayer, in roles that cover strategic planning, implementation, and business growth.
To is also the co-founder of Yum Cha Together, a social enterprise that connects the community with charitable organisations through dim sum or Hong Kong-style “yum cha” events.
